FAQ | Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a question about our products?

We have put together a list of the questions most frequently asked by our customers.

Which dogs are these chew treats suitable for?
Big or small, from German Shepherds to Chihuahuas, any dog can eat our products. However the chew treats are not suitable for consumption by very young puppies. You should wait a few months before giving them any.

My dog is having trouble digesting the chew treats.
Our chew treats are made of pure, natural products, so sometimes they may not agree with your dog on the first try. Just like with humans, your dog’s stomach has to grow accustomed to the new products. That is why we recommend continuing to try out more of our chew treats and slowly getting your dog used to the natural products.

What additives do you use?
Our chew treats are pure, natural products without any additives. We get them from an IFS certified producer, who creates the highest quality chew treats in their own drying chamber. The products come from all of the largest German slaughterhouses (with the exception of rumen). The IFS certification ensures that our products are inspected to the highest quality standards every year.
Additives are only used in our kibble products, salami products, meat chunks, sticks and strips. Due to their moisture content of approx. 15 - 20% these contain preservatives, antioxidants and minerals.
Preservatives: Potassium sorbate (minor amount 0.2% content, not harmful). Preservatives are important to keep the products fresh and durable. The products are dried to about 15-20% of their original moisture, which makes the products softer, rather than brittle and crumbly.
Antioxidants: A natural antioxidant that is extracted from plants.
Minerals: Salt and phosphorus
Vegetable by-products: Glycerin extracted from plants, potato flakes

How long do the products last and what is the best way to store them?
You can find the best before date on the label. This remains the same, even after opening the packet. It is however best to reseal the packet or place the products into an airtight container. They should not be stored in a warm place. Keep the products out of the sun and away from heaters.
